Anyone who knew our mother, knows she was the most amazing, caring, nurturing woman. Despite (and likely because of) her tragic upbringing, Pam dedicated her life to helping others- especially children in need. Our mom could brighten a room with just her presence, brighten your day with just her smile and made the world a little brighter with her humanitarian efforts and kindhearted spirit.
When she was diagnosed with heart failure in 2018, it was a complete shock to the entire family. She had simply went to urgent care for a cold and ended up being transported via ambulance to Abbott Northwestern for immediate treatment. Since then, it has been a medical rollercoaster with her heart functioning getting better and worse sporadically for years before Pam’s heart finally decided it had had enough. She got an LVAD (Left Ventricular Assistance Device) put in her heart in August of 2024 as a very last ditch effort to save her life. The LVAD did its job for a little over year, when Pam passed away unexpectedly on September 24, 2025. She went to bed on Tuesday evening and two of her grandchildren found her early in the morning on Wednesday before school.
While we all were aware her situation was dire, our mom’s passing was entirely unexpected, as, she had been amazing her heart team with how much progress she had made. Our hearts are shattered. Our minds are just spinning and losing our mother has left a hole in our souls that time can never fill. Pam did not have life insurance, so after White Earth Tribe helps us with the cremation services, a funeral/gathering is entirely our financial responsibility.
We are asking for absolutely anything to help us give our beautiful mother the service that she deserves surrounded by loved ones. Please, if there is any way you could help, it would be the biggest blessing we could ask for. Her heart was so filled with love and we would just like to give our mom a service that exhibits how much we loved her back.
