Mind over Miles

Help Redding Police Department Captain Brian Cole support three local non-profit organizations in Redding.

Brian is attempting to complete the physically demanding and mentally grueling Grand to Grand Ultra Stage Race- a seven day 171 mile (275 km) race in the Arizona and Utah Deserts.

This race is unique as competitors carry everything they need to survive the course on their backs. Each day a new stage begins in the intense terrain and heavy sand, with a new distance and elimination time (see below).

Funds raised will be equally distributed to First 5 Shasta Inc., a non profit raising money for local children’s programs (ages 0-5), the Redding Tactical Officers Association and Communities for Police Canines. Brian sits currently as the Board Chair of First 5 Shasta and proudly works with the men and women of the Redding Police Department. Funds will be allocated for additional training courses and equipment for SWAT and K9 Officers.

Race Stages- Starts Sept 21, 2025

Stage 1- 30.8 Miles

Stage 2- 26.9 Miles

Stage 3- 53.2 Miles

Stage 4- 26.0 Miles

Stage 5- 26.3 Miles

Stage 6- 7.9 Miles

Thank you for the support of Kids, Cops and K9s!

*A small percent of donations will help cover a portion of the race entrance fee.*

Just an update- Yesterday I completed the 171 mile Grand to Grand Ultra Stage Race,  along with 48 amazingly resilient individuals from all over the world. It was brutally hard, but a tremendous experience to race through such beautiful scenery. Thank you to everyone for their support and encouragement over the past several months.

The fundraiser will run until October 1st. Together we have raised almost $14k for our local non-profits.

Respectfully- Brian
