Turning 18 is recognized as the transition into adulthood bringing new opportunities and responsibilities. For Wynne’s 18th birthday she doesn’t want extra stuff, she’s asked for help funding what she needs in her next chapter.. I have set up this go fund me so that anyone who has the means may gift her a part of her future.
This fall, Wynne will begin her undergraduate studies at Barnard College in New York City, focusing on neuroscience and psychology. She’ll be pursuing Barnard’s 5-year joint program with Columbia University, where she’ll earn both her bachelor’s in science from Barnard College and a master’s in public health from Columbia University.
Wynne’s passion for science has been clear from very early on. Her elementary school
projects researched kids’ self-esteem and gene editing technology. At her current internship in Yale’s neurogenomics lab, she’s researching the neurobiological and genetic link between Borderline Personality Disorder and Chronic Pain.
Despite challenges, she’s excelled academically and secured generous offers from top universities. As a low-income student, she will be working hard both in class and at her job to fund her education.
Right now, Wynne’s biggest need is a reliable computer to support her studies. Her current laptop is falling apart and can’t keep up with her coursework. For her 18th birthday, Wynne is asking for help from her community to purchase a new computer and contribute to her school fees.
As Wynne embarks on this exciting new chapter, she turns to her loved ones for support. Every gift, no matter the size, will help her pursue her dreams and make a difference in the world of science and public health. Please gift Wynne any amount that gives you joy to give!
Thank you so much for your support and Birthday blessings
