My name is Desiree, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my husband, our four children, and myself. We recently moved to California to be closer to family, hoping for a fresh start and more support. Unfortunately, after arriving, we found ourselves homeless. We couldn’t stay with relatives long enough to secure jobs or a place of our own, and our truck isn’t running well, making it nearly impossible to get around San Diego for job interviews or daily needs.
Since arriving in December, my husband and I have been working tirelessly—applying for jobs, going to interviews, and doing everything we can to provide for our children. What we need most right now is help with funds to stay in a motel for a couple of months and to get a reliable, inexpensive car. Having a safe place to stay would give our kids the stability they deserve, and reliable transportation would allow us to keep searching for work and eventually get back on our feet.
It means the world to my family for anyone who can help us during this difficult time. We are willing to work for anything anyone can offer, and we are deeply grateful for any support. Your kindness can help us move forward and give our children the security and hope they need.
