It's Friday night I'm cross-eyed tired, worked sick for 6 weeks trying to heal-up from C’ diff, and then a stroke? This is the event venue https://www.artsrescue.com/taste-evening-program-2025 If you can me out, I have set up on eBay the last 22 intaglio pieces that exist of my work since 1974. I've made them available for NO MINIMUM for the next 5 days, donate any amount you would like to pay. I'll leave the low values at that amount until Wednesday afternoon. Actual values are in the posted in the published listing so “USE THE "BEST OFFER" option. Make an offer and I will accept! I'm all in on this I'm liquidating, and I would appreciate whatever offers come in. I must bring the values back up for obvious reasons ASAP. https://www.ebay.com/str/artflow
I want to thank you for helping out twice and getting me back on my feet. Your “back on my feet money” in 2024 was the seed resource along with my cheap guitar collection that led us to this point. A charity to help creatives. I said “Us” knowing that you wouldn’t have helped me in the first place if it wasn’t us. We have memories of our common admiration of the artists among us, cheap wine, cookies, patio music, and a funny clown dog that drew us together.
Hi All,
I'm living in the same place but feel like I have returned from a long journey. Almost every day this year something circles back in a serendipitous joyful reunion to the things I love, people I cared for and made my hometown a blast to play and create in. I turn the corner visiting one of my favorite Galleries and there is one of the favorite people I've ever met, the a great friend to all that fed us at the first fund raiser and my first 501 C3 Artist Rescue Mission in 1994 when Gertrude Barnstone and I got organized and delivered relief packages and documentation packs width cameras, film particular to the developer solutions they had, tape recorders, and batteries nestled down in the bottom of our boxes to avoid detection at border crossings, and into the hands of the Sarajevo Trio to distribute to the poets, the performers, indeed theater and actors bravely leading the way, preserving the honor and pride of the besieged city of Sarajevo. My thought in recovery was why can’t I do that here. There is a Martin Luther King among us.
Artist Rescue Mission is charity. “A Charity for The Arts”
Motto: Heal, Shelter, Assist, Preserve
- I need your help to identify someone in need of recovery time from an accident or illness. I want to do a demonstration next Thursday demonstrating ARM-GIZMO's crowdfunding feature.
- I need a good wet master, volunteer and get some stuff done and then it'll be part-time and paid position. There’re just some things I'd like to see if we could do if I don't know how to do and I sure would appreciate getting some help. This will include an important role in our "GIFTING” on area on GIZMO keeping an eye on things and making sure people don't put the baby strollers there and golf clubs up, keeping an eye on what comes in with me for artists with values our galleries are working hard to insure.
- Money is money. You know what else money is? Ideas. In 1994 ARM board member Martha Claire Tompkins and a patron at the Kaffie Gallery in Corpus Christi. She said that they had artists decorate bottles and they sold like hotcakes. Without spending a dime she gave us an idea and we sold 50 bottles at $100 and made $5,000 which really came in handy when we started to pay for everything trying to get into Sarajevo. If anyone would like to do that, I might have a couple places that you can set up a week before the show and do the bottle trick. What Marilyn was doing was terrific. It was great to have the artist and the patrons together making stuff, genius, it's a really good deal but that's not what I'm talking about. That's still a good idea for our table decorations. I would love it. But these need to be little works of art, well you know what I mean ..... If you think you have got a good idea, email me or a team member. It's my 501, it's my concept, I paid for it, and I say for the the executive board-all artists, and we get to do what we want to. So, bring it on
- Anything you would think of and way of decorations in the space you can go by and look at it as the Post building on the west side and go in the doors on the West Side exit room is the first Cube that's glassed into the right it's beautiful Raw space, I think it might need a touch or something. In the back of that room on the south side or band is set up all the way in the north side the dance floor is in front of the band the tables are sort of in the middle and front of Chef Soren. Soren is knocking out a basic floor plan. If you need one do not bother him, he's busy. I don't have a job so we will have committed contacts quickly up on the website probably the later part of next week.
- I don't know what I can offer the artist to work on these sorts of things. If you say you're an artist and you are an artist. Artists never give their work away at my functions. I know a lot of patrons that would absolutely love to sponsor artist tables. And that's how it works and you are the stars of the evening. At the time I was caught in the lesson several times in the last two years I had a lot of time to think things through, and basically and then the wheel and penicillin on two different occasions. I thought I had discovered away to supercharge funding, and all it was GoFundMe. Dang, I guess that's the wheel. On another occasion of extended vacation at Methodist Eureka! Oh, darn, I just reinvented the Oscars. The evening is based on that exactly. Unless George Clooney is going to pay for half of his chair by doing a 3-minute ad for Hertz rental car. My attempt a humor. 5. . When the Mad Dash to the finish line to get our invitation out, website and a whole bunch of other stuff that's going to happen before Friday April 11th at 6:30 when we start the fun. I'm sending the smallest now to you and I trust that you will understand that the website's not finished but here are the details for the TASTE awards, you can't order yet. Probably Tuesday will be the start time for tables and chairs, sponsored artists tables, and commemorative tables. I'll have it all diagramed on the page to make donations, donate tables, and buy single tickets.
- Why started to say about before I got married down on the details as after this is over can we PLEASE get together and everybody think of a place that might be appropriate to talk about the event, how we might make it better, ideas after you've gotten to look at the website of what you think might be a good addition to our programming, that will be about 15 minutes and then I got to tell a long long stories about going in and out of Sarajevo with lots of danger and intriguing, with our illegal stash of communications equipment in each box buried at the bottom of each box underneath feminine hygiene products. It did work I'll tell you the story. You should have seen that Border guard, ha!
SPECIAL NEED FOR OPENING NIGHT ZOOM! With combined lists we are expecting from combined contact lists 25% tuning in Friday April 11, for a ZOOM 4,000 tuning in, participants, and guest celebrities. There is projection rig in the room that NASA used for their Artemis program installation two years ago. Do we know anyone that can set that up and has a screen? It’s worth $500 in trade for event tickets, or $300 in cash.
