Baby Zander, 2 years (and 9 months), youngest son of Philip and Flavia Daay, will be undergoing significant procedures and surgery to treat a condition called Vertical Talus. He was born with Fibular Hemimilla which is a rare disorder, (one in 40,000 are born with this) that has caused the condition that will be treated with with casts, surgery, and post-physical therapy.
So as part of this journey, the family will be traveling from Finland (current home) to the US for treatment and surgery.
This procedure must be conducted prior to a certain age (which Zander is approaching) as leaving untreated would lead to a permanent disability. Under the care of Dr. Dobbs, Zander will receive exceptional care.
The Daay family will be in the U.S. from mid-August through October. There are medical, traveling, and living expenses.
I know they are adored by many, with friends who love them and want to help. Michael and I have created this donation opportunity for those of you able to help.
Thank you in advance. Here's a family pic from Z's 1st Birthday :) Thank you again & Much love to all!
