Many of you know the story about the train wreck that the bluffs landing owners have made here in flour bluff. So many people have been affected by the privatization of the marina and closing of the boat ramp. Let me tell you story. There is a family that has stood by to help there community and anyone that needed help without question. Hundreds have been helped by this family's huge heart for giving back. For most of us Mimi's and Papa's is a house hold name. They are a small down home restaurant that has been surviving up scratch made food for the Corpus Christi area for going on 3 years. It all started when Papa was diagnosed with cancer. He did not want mimi to be without friends and camaraderie so he opened the restaurant. Everyone that walked through there door became a friend.  With huge hearts and big shoulders they began helping there community with whatever it needed. Anyone in need, from our beloved school district and the kids that go there or someone that just needed to pay a bill, mimi's and papa's was there to help. Now with the closing of the marina they are suffering.  There restaurant is closed due to no traffic. There livelihood has been hurt. They are trying to put money together for a food trailer so they can continue to help there community.  Please help us help them.  Community strong we can try to give a little back to the people that have given so much.
