Tim Dixon was a loving husband, father and Papa & lover of music. He entered the hospital in late September to treat an infection which ended up causing bacterial endocarditis. We will share more of the story as time goes on but know we & the drs at UT Medical Center did all they could to treat his illness but it had sadly riddled his entire body. Tim fought as hard as he could but this disease ultimately took his life on 10/05/2023.
While he was in the hospital there were many many low points but one of the high points in the midst of everything was Holly the musical therapist. She came In to Tims room with her guitar and Ukulele and immediately brightened our day. She gave us some options of songs to sing & play, asked us about Tim & his favorite songs. She ended up by playing over the rainbow on her ukulele.
When she left the room we knew she was a little God wink in the midst of what none of us wanted to be going through. She had informed us that her department was fully funded by donations because they wanted to be able to provide this to as many families as possible. Once she left the room we all decided that this was a sign that we were meant to collect donations on Tim's behalf to be able to provide music therapy to more families who need a bright spot in their days in the hospital. So in lieu of flowers we would love for you to donate to the Music Therapy Department at UT Medical Center. We are grateful for all of your love & support during this difficult time.
Blessings,
Marcy, Matthew, Chelle, Erin & Family
