Most people think of music simply as pure entertainment. In a world where so much noise is thrown at us day and night through social media and marketing means, it becomes harder and harder to differentiate between meaningful content and superficial noise.
My mission this instrumental album called "Roots Of The World" is to take you though a journey into the most predominant cultures in Latin America, narrowing their differences but exhulting their uniqueness of sound under the big umbrella of world music.
In this album I have recorded with Divina Banda (Cuba), Los Kjarkas (Bolivia), Los Panchos (Mexico), Luis Enrique Mejia (Central America), Lucia Ortiz (Argentina), Orchestra of Americas (South America) and other renown individual artists.
20% of its profits will be donated to RAICES in order to assist the children who have been separated from their parents at the border between Mexico and the USA. These children are from Central America, South America, and Mexico. The music I selected in my album is as well from these particular parts of the world.
Your assistance will allow me to produce the physical copies of the album (USB format and CD format) as well as the distribution of the work through several social media outlets and digital platforms from July through November 2021.
