On Tuesday March 09, 2021, a terminix employee did willfully or negligently directly spray my 8 mo old bulldog puppy named Rocky in the face with poison after the puppy barked at him from an open front door and while sitting behind a locked grate. The employee, sprayed such a large plume of pesticide into my house there is no way that amount of pesticide would have come through the open front door if it had not been sprayed directly through the grate at the barking puppy. In addition, the man said, "hey dog" in a low voice prior to spraying him, and as the puppy barked, the man said something one more time. I had been sitting quietly on my couch which is adjacent to my front door and was approximately 5 feet away when this even occurred. I am recovering from my 16th cancer surgery and I was sitting quietly enough that apparently /Terminix employee felt he had an opportunity to willfully and or negligently directly spray poison on the dog without being noticed. However, I was right there as a witness. I immediately ran to the door and was eye to eye with this Terminix employee who I believe was getting ready to spray Rocky a second time. We made eye contact. He looked angry and mean and he knew I had caught him in the act. However, I did not have time to deal with Carlos and my attention was on protecting Rocky from any more poison. I quickly pushed the water and food dishes away from the front door and shut it. Rocky (8 mo old, 45lb bulldog puppy) ran under my table, which has a table cloth that goes to the floor. I would be estimating the exact time, but it felt like 15 - 20 minutes and Rocky never came out from under the table.
I kneeled down and lifted up the table cloth. Rocky was in a stupor, laying sideways.
Rocky's tongue was hanging out on the floor
Rocky's tongue was purple in color. I went into shock.
I picked Rocky up and put him on the couch next to me
Rocky moved away from me and sat wobbling on a stair made for dogs to get on couches.
Rocky peed on himself, without standing up. Rocky is fully housetrained and has never had an accident in the house, yet he pee'd on himself while sitting down.
Rocky walked outside and began vomiting a large amount of clear frothy fluid.
I sat with Rocky for a couple minutes and realized Rocky needed medical attention immediately.
I ran in the house to email my landlord and apprise them of the situation and to make a legal documentation of what was occuring.
During the brief email Rocky came into the house and continued vomiting.
Rocky could not stand up without wobbling and vomited all over himself.
At that time I began calling vets, the first 3 vets, who I recorded either did not have appointments and / or urged me to take Rocky to the emergency animal hospital immediately, which I did.
I brought Rocky to the car and drove immediately to the emergency vet hospital.
