I’ve come to ask for your help. I have had severe ear pain for months. I saw an ENT (ears, nose and throat,) and there was nothing wrong with my ear so I had a Cat scan which came back fine. I begged him to do an MRI because the pain was slowly getting worse. The MRI with and without contrast showed that an artery in my head was putting pressure on a nerve. I went to a neurosurgeon, but what the radiologist diagnosed me as having was incorrect. The neurosurgeon sent me to an Atypical Facial Pain Dr. o spoke to the doctor’s PA yesterday and she recommended 2 procedures which sounded like they could really help. However, today when I went to make the dr’s appointment, I found out that only one Dr took my insurance and that the first appointment wasn’t until January. I’m in excruciating pain every single day unless I take a high dose of painkillers that leave me feeling high and a bit loopy. Another Dr in his office is available next week, but costs close to $1000. I am desperate for relief and would be so appreciative of any help that you are able to give. Much love. ~ Lauren
