Wellington (Welly) is an Old English Sheepdog pup that recently joined our family though special circumstances. His first owner relinquished him due to a shoulder diagnosis called osteochondritis dissecans or (OCD), a cartilage defect with dead tissue that needs to be surgically removed. He needed a home! We decided that we were the perfect family to help Welly! We already have a nearly 2 year old OES and we knew he’d be a great addition to our family. The surgery will cost at least $3200 and the pre surgical work up has already cost $980. We have the surgery scheduled for March 9, 2023 at Oregon State University. If any fellow OES or general dog lovers would like to help out with his veterinary and surgical costs, we would greatly appreciate it!
