Help Us Make Scarlett’s 11th Birthday & Surgery Recovery a Little Brighter ☀️
Our sweet Scarlett is turning 11 years old on April 26th, and this year is going to be a big one for her in more ways than one. In just a few short months, she will be undergoing a very invasive spinal surgery, followed by an intense three-month recovery period that will require additional full-time nursing care.
Before this major milestone, we are taking her back to Give Kids The World Village in Florida, where we stayed during her Make-A-Wish trip two years ago. This place holds such special memories for our family, and we are so excited to return and create even more. Because of her increased medical needs, including a larger wheelchair and oxygen, we’ve decided to drive the 18-hour trip ourselves to make travel as smooth and comfortable as possible for her.
While most of Scarlett’s medical expenses are covered, the costs of travel, accommodations, and the many essential items she will need during and after recovery are not. To help ease this burden, I have created an Amazon wishlist with things that will help her through recovery, as well as some birthday gifts I know she would love.
Our community has always shown up for Scarlett in the most incredible ways, and we are so grateful. If you’d like to support her journey—whether by contributing to our trip, helping with recovery essentials, or simply sharing her story we would be forever thankful.
