The Rangefinder Project: Precision Care for Christian
The Player and the Game
Many of you know what a remarkable gentleman Christian is. His courage, humor, and strength through every challenge continue to inspire everyone around him. He has faced each setback with a bravery far beyond his years, and he does it with a resilience that humbles all of us.
If you know Christian, you know his golf clubs are always in the bag right next to his wheelchair. But right now, Christian is facing a new set of medical hurdles, and he’s being forced to play without the most important piece of gear in his bag. While a few have been relatively simple to diagnose and treat, others have been more complicated and harder to navigate.
The Need: A "Medical Rangefinder"
In golf, a rangefinder tells you exactly where you stand so you can stay out of the hazards. For Christian, a Bladder Scanner (specifically the Verathon Prime Plus) is his Medical Rangefinder.
One ongoing concern involves determining whether Christian’s symptoms are due to a urinary obstruction or something more serious, such as not producing urine at all. Being able to quickly and accurately distinguish between these possibilities is critical for his safety, comfort, and reducing emergency room visits that pull him away from his life.
The Goal: Precision Over Guesswork
A portable Bladder Scanner is a non-invasive ultrasound device that would give Christian the "perfect read" in seconds. It would allow his caregivers and our family to manage his care from home with professional-grade accuracy, providing immediate answers and peace of mind during uncertain moments.
Unfortunately, insurance often views this vital technology as a luxury rather than a necessity, leaving it financially out of reach. We have set a fundraising goal of $8,500 to cover:
- The Verathon Prime Plus unit (the gold standard in AI-driven accuracy).
- A medical-grade cart to keep the gear mobile and by his side.
- Extended warranty and initial medical supplies.

Our parents are the type to quietly carry the bag for everyone else, never asking for a caddie. They quietly carry what they need to carry and advocate fiercely for Christian behind the scenes. As his siblings, we are stepping in to ask our friends and family to help us put this pro-level equipment in Christian’s bag.
By contributing to The Rangefinder Project, you aren’t just buying a piece of medical equipment; you are giving Christian the independence to stay healthy, stay home, and keep his eyes on the ball.
Thank you for loving him, praying for him, and standing with our family. Let’s help Christian hit this one straight down the middle! ⛳️
