πŸ™ Help Me Publish My Book β€” Projects to Progress

My name is Shinere Taylor, and I wrote this book for every woman who has ever been knocked down and wasn't sure she could get back up.

Projects to Progress is more than a book β€” it's my testimony.

I was incarcerated at 19 with a three-month-old daughter and six weeks pregnant. I gave birth behind bars. I watched my father die of a heart attack on his way to bail me out. I came home at 21 with two children, a felony, no home, and no direction.

And I rebuilt my life β€” from nothing.

I earned my associate's degree. I built a career as a housing specialist serving the homeless community for five years. And on June 19, 2019 β€” the day before I was supposed to take my kids to Disney World for the first time β€” I was fired. No warning. No backup plan.

But that was the day I chose myself.

I wrote Projects to Progress because the world needs more stories of real resilience β€” not the polished kind, but the kind born from PTSD, depression, racism, grief, and getting back up anyway.

This book is for the woman starting over. The mother fighting for her kids. The person with a record who still dares to dream.

πŸ’› Your support will cover:

β€’ Professional editing & proofreading

β€’ Book cover design

β€’ Formatting & layout

β€’ Printing the first run of copies

β€’ Marketing to reach the women who need it most

Every dollar brings this message one step closer to the hands of someone who needs it.

Thank you for believing in my story β€” and in every woman who sees herself in it.

With love and gratitude,

Shinere Taylor
