Brittne’s journey so far…

Three weeks ago Brittne started to have what she thought was sciatica pain. After she went to the doctor, her and her family’s world changed. She was told that she most likely has some type of leukemia and was referred immediately to an oncologist. She saw the oncologist Friday who ordered more blood work, a bone marrow biopsy, and an MRI. The MRI showed a tumor on her spine and her bloodwork came back with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She is being admitted today to start aggressive chemo while still waiting on the biopsy to know even more. We ask for prayers more than anything. Please pray that God will restore Brittne’s body to complete healing, pray for miracles, and pray for her family, husband, and two children. As this all happened very unexpectedly, they will need help with medical expenses and with day to day expenses. Please consider helping in any way you can!

UPDATE 11/18/2025-
Last week, Brittne went through the final tests to clear her for her bone marrow transplant process to begin.

Today, we were unexpectedly notified that Brittne has relapsed and it seems the cancer has come back more aggressive. The bone marrow biopsy results show that almost half of Brittne's bone marrow is covered with leukemia, 40% to be exact. Brittne was re-admitted today to start immediate chemo. She will be in the hospital for 3 weeks and back at home for around 2 weeks and back in the hospital again for consolidation chemo, in hopes to bring her back to remission and then be able to do the bone marrow transplant while she's in remission. Your prayers are more appreciated than you will ever know.

Specific prayer requests -

- Comfort this family through this time, especially with it being the holidays.

- That Brittne keeps her strength through these next chemo treatments.

- That treatment works and gets her in remission to be able to move forward with the transplant

- For Brittne’s mental health through all of this. Keep depression far away!

UPDATE 3/3/2025

Brittne started aggressive chemo on 2/27. She is doing 7 days of 24 hour chemo treatments and 3 days of an additional 30 minute chemo treatment. She finished the 3 days on 3/2. She did receive the results from the spinal tumor(s) and they are from the leukemia (which is a good sign, as we did not want to be battling multiple different cancers). This morning, her bloodwork came back better than we expected! The numbers are expected to fluctuate, but we received even better results than we hoped for! GOD IS WORKING MIRACLES, so please keep the prayers coming.

After the 7 days of chemo, the doctor will run more tests and reevaluate to decide the next steps in Brittne’s journey. Around day 14, she will have another bone marrow biopsy to check and see what % the blast cells are at. Goal is to keep them under 5% to do out patient chemotherapy!

Thank you all so much for the prayers, support, and love!
