Is my LAUSD Raise Too Little Too Late???
Hello, I’m a Special Education Assistant for LAUSD - 25 years. I have 2 adult kids with me at home. My oldest is the breadwinner making more than I. My other son just started working 2 weeks ago and we’re so proud of him. Since Covid- They lost their Dad- As he was an Essential worker. Also that’s when my partner and I broke up- leaving us struggling yo pay rent ever since! LAUSD workers finally a raise and extra work hour but it may be Too a little Too Late for my and I.
My landlord has been patient but the Covid Renters Eviction moratorium and other extension have all stopped!
If we can’t pay $3,3495 by Monday 8/21/2023 we will All be evicted with No family to stay with!
We’ve lived here for 10 years and it would be more expensive to move!
I pray God rests this plea on someone who will have favor and kindness to help my family.
