I am not usually the type of person to do something like this, but with all of my options weighing down on me, this is pretty much my last resort.
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Lexi and I'm currently working towards my dream in a career of becoming a special education teacher. Never in a million years did I ever envision myself choosing this career path but here we are! Ever since becoming a Paraprofessional almost 7 years ago, I started to realize that nothing would make me happier than helping those in need and feeling like I can make a difference in their lives. Working with students with special needs has shown me just how much patience, compassion, and encouragement can impact a child's confidence and success. Every student deserves someone who believes in them, advocates for them, and celebrates every victory, no matter how big or small. I want to be that teacher.
Like many college students, balancing tuition, classroom supplies, certification costs, transportation, and everyday all-around living expenses can be very challenging. Those costs add up quite quickly, and that's why I'm reaching out for help.
Any small amount that you help donate it's going directly towards my schooling costs and my at home expenses to help my mom and I keep a roof over our heads. This will also help in helping me to afford my teacher certification and licensing expenses down the line while I go through my graduate programs for a full CERT (Right now I am under a limited CERT through taking an Alternate Route)
