Hello Everyone! My name is Amy Avalos, I am an 8th grader at Cooper Academy Middle School in Fresno Unified School District. For our last year, we will be working on a community project that focuses on the community and service. It gives us an opportunity to develop awareness of needs in various communities and address those needs through service learning. My group and I have chosen to give back our service to the Migrant Education Program in the Fresno Unified School District. We are passionate about helping the children in this program for many reasons. The Migrant Education is a a program that provides educational and support services to eligible migrant children each year. These services help children of migrant workers overcome the disadvantages they face, one of which is disruption to their education due to moving around because of working in the agricultural fields. The purpose of this fundraising page is to raise money to purchase some school supplies, books, and toys for these children. Any amount would help us with our service project, please help us put a smile on their faces! Thank you for time and donation!
