My wife and I found out we were pregnant in March 2023 and were ecstatic about starting our family. At 20 weeks we went in for our anatomy scan and found out we were having a baby boy. Sadly, we also got bad news that week. Alexander James Gibbons was diagnosed with several complex congenital heart defects. Without getting into too many details, Alex will be needing 3 complex open-heart surgeries after being born and most likely need a heart transplant later in life.
