I rescued Boo almost two years ago. For those of you who don't know Boo's story she is a miracle girl. She was being used as a bait dog down south. Her front , top and bottom teeth were completely filed down so that she couldn't defend herself against dogs that were training to fight. When she was found , Boo was only 40lbs with almost all her fur missing , and skin infections all over. She had a ripped cornea in her right eye. I knew the moment I saw her she was my dog and I had to rescue her. I spent months working with her and gaining her trust and earning her love.
With what my girl went through she didn't let her past effect her bright future with Gianna and I. She is the most loving, sweet, quiet, and calm girl. Being my emotional support dog Boo comes to work every day with me where I am RiverCourt's head concierge. It's an assistant living and Boo visits with residents. She visits not only with our assistant / independent residents, but also with our memory care residents. She brings joy and love to everyone she meets. She breaks the stigma that pitbulls get.
We wanted Boo to get use to her new home and family when we rescued her. We took our time with her for her to gain our trust and to know she was safe now. We got her weight up, got her skin and eye cared for and did our best to keep up with her teeth the best we could. She is a beautiful girl now at the perfect weight for her breed. However with all the care I have put into her teeth, Boo needs oral surgery due to the trauma she endured in her past. I had to rush her to the animal hospital tonight due to her not drinking water, face swelled , and becoming Sick. They found that the teeth that were filed down along with others on the sides of her mouth are abscessed and infected. Hopefully the vet will be able to save some of her teeth, but it's likely that all her teeth will need to be removed.
Her surgery will be expensive, but it needs to be done. Boo has done so much for me. She's helped me so much with my anxiety and depression. She is my world. Boo has done so much for me and now I have to do this for her.
Being a single mom this is extremely costly and I know what I am asking is a lot & I honestly don't think I'll get the amount I've posted for her, but anything that anyone can donate I would greatly appreciate and I know Boo will too along with so many residents.
No donation amount is too little.
Thank you so much for taking the time to look this over and again if you can help Boo with a donation Gianna and I will be forever greatfull for your generosity.
