**UPDATED - 5/27/24- Scott was finally released from the hospital after a long stay and still has a long road ahead of him. While helping her husband heal, Marilyn was diagnosed with cancer and had to undergo treatments herself as well as a full hysterectomy. This beautiful couple has been through so much and still have a long road ahead. Please consider giving to help them with the mountain of debt they are facing so they can focus on healing.
Scott has recently been diagnosed with heart failure and has been in the ICU under sedation and on a ventilator for over a week now. Marilyn is staying in Portland to be with him; however, bills are piling up and having to take an unknown amount of leave has caused serious financial strain on this beautiful couple. We want the Leightons to be able to focus on being together and getting well without having to stress about bills. If you are willing and able, we would like to be able to cover Marilyns stay while she is in Portland as well as help with the monthly bills while she is taking off work. Medical bills will be an enormous burden as well, so anything extra that is raised will go to that.
