I’m Kayla. I’m a wife and a mom, and lately it feels like every time we turn around, another bill shows up.
My husband and I both work full-time, and while I’m off for the summer from my school job, I’ve been applying for second jobs and higher-paying positions with no luck so far.
Like a lot of families, we’ve been selling things around our house just to bring in a little extra money, but it’s still not enough. Medical bills keep coming, and we’re trying our best to stay ahead.
Our biggest worry right now is our back porch. It’s starting to cave in, and it’s the entrance we use every single day. We’re honestly not sure how much longer it’s going to hold. As well as the possibility of losing one of our vehicles.
We’re also hoping to move somewhere safer for our kids one day. We’ve wanted to save toward these goals for a long time, but by the time the bills are paid, there’s just nothing left.
I’m not sharing this because I expect anyone to fix our problems. I’m sharing because I know so many families are going through the same thing, and sometimes being honest is hard.
