Yesterday November 8th, Mark received the news that his dad, James Burnham, was being placed in hospic care due to his battle lung cancer. Like Mark, James was a truck driver. Mark traveling with his buddy Jeffrey decided it was best to fly home versus drive. The two booked their flights from Florida to Maine. The flight had a 3 hour layover in Atlanta Georgia. While in the Atlanta, the two enjoyed a nice dinner. As they made their way to the gate, Jeffrey stopped to charge his phone. Shortly after stopping, a stranger approached Jeffrey and let him know that his buddy colapsed and was on the floor. Jeffrey quickly made his way to the gate area. Paramedics were called. Mark was transported to an Atlanta area hospital and Jeffrey flew home. Upon arriving to Maine, Shelly, Mark's wife, was there to greet Jeffrey and deliver the horrifying news that her husband Mark had died from a blood clot that caused a cardic arrest.
Mark was born December 21st, 1974. In 1994, Shelly and Mark met for the first time. In 1996, Mark who is know for having a big heart, big smile and a caring father of Justin was filled with joy after meeting a 9 month old little girl named Kristina while visiting a friend's home. What he didn't know at the time was that Kristina was Shelly's daughter. Mark and Shelly reunited and together had a beautiful girl named Brittney. Mark and Shelly made their relationship official by marriage on March 7th 2015.
Being 47 years old, Mark did not have life insurance. His sudden departure has left Shelly with funeral costs, transportation cost for his remains, hospital bills and more.
