Steve is an amazing husband, father, stepfather, Poppy, brother and friend to many. His life is nothing short of inspirational. He is a prayer warrior for many, a man of strong faith with a heart for helping others whenever he can.

He was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer a few weeks back. We will forever be indebted to our friends Lisa & Russ for gifting a full body scan to Steve after doctors didnt have answers and were treating symptoms not root causes. The limitations insurance companies have on what qualifies for further covered procedures is rediculous at best.

Our belief in what true healthcare looks like led us to a facility in Clearwater FL that approaches treatment in a holistic approach. Bloodwork will be done to test HIS cancer cells against various proven treatments and design a protocol for HIM. Most likely it will be a low dose chemo treatment with high dose Vit C IV, along with multiple supplements to continue to support the immune system, as well as some other treatments we know to be successful. This integrative approach which makes the most sense is not covered by insurance.

This is a scary journey, yet there is an unexplained peace. Not in the nieve sense...but in the sense of seeing God in the midst of the chaos. Believing doesn’t mean we get what we want. It means believing God will carry us through the storms of life, like he promises. Our hearts desire is that our small individual will lines up with his sovereign will.

We pray this journey brings light to the integrative methods available for treatment and helps others find hope and peace in their journey.

Dear friends and family,

I wanted to make a final post to stay accountable to the financial donations and to share the link of the life celebration in case you missed it.

We had a wonderful Celebration of Steve's impact during his life and if you missed it, it can be found here

https://youtu.be/u6X7eC8vUHY?si=OGOxJY_srG84LJHd

I believe the final bills have come between hospital visits, treatments, medical procedures, and hospice. Total came to $83,435. Life Insurance and donations left us with a small balance of $9,074. I am forever grateful for your genorosity in helping us during a journey that was beyond difficult.

Thank You - TITL (Trust In The Lord)

It is with an extremely broken heart that I write these words. Steve got called home to heaven Sunday Feb 1st, 2026.

Although I cry out loud..why God? I have seen Him walk us thru this final chapter. Steve had pancreatic cancer which should have been painful, yet he barely had any, right up to the end. A "death rally" which is never more than 48hrs was 9 days long and we were able to have deep meaningful conversations about our life, laugh, hug and say 1000 I love yous. Those final days I was able to serve my husband in ways most hope they never have to do, yet I would 100x over if I could. In his last hour I held him close telling him just how much I love him until he took that last breath at 418am. I thank God for giving me each of those moments.

God may not have answered the prayers of so many...but I am certain that in death comes new life - not just for Steve but for all those who knew him. A chance to see God work thru this to change lives and bring Glory to His name.

I am forever grateful for your prayers, texts, messages and financial help through this all. May you stop to cherish the life you have, the people you love and know that this life is a mere speck of dust compared to the eternity that awaits. May we all live life accordingly.

Much love,

Rose Dey

Dear friends and family,

Yesterday was not a good day. Steve had a stroke and has lost a good majority of his ability to communicate. This journey has been painful in so many ways, yet I still see God's hand at work. I am beyond grateful for the continued prayers, and help from so many people, near and far. We are now taking life moment by moment.

If there is anything you take from reading this, let it be this...hug the one you love now, tell them you love them because there is no amount of time that is enough at the end....and the end is not determined by us. It comes quicker then you expect.

James 4:13-14 -  Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.”  Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.

Much Love,

Rose

Good Morning!

It's hard to believe that it was only 2 months ago that Steve was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer and our life was forever changed.

It's been a roller-coaster of emotions and I'm so grateful for all the help along the way. My daughter-in-law has been a tremendous help these past 18 days and I'm truly sad she needs to go back home today.

Steve had an unexplainable week of good days. Not without a few hiccups but overall seeing him eat 2-3 meals, being alert and we even played backgammon! We cherished all the moments.

God has been good through all of this. His mercies are endless. Every time I start to question his presence, I'm reminded that we aren't exempt from going through hard times, we are just promised He will give us what we need to get through it. It doesn't make it easy. Some days I feel like what I need must be in short supply. But I will continue to be thankful for each day because each day is a gift.

Love you all,

Rose

Dear friends and family,

This morning I was reminded of God's faithfulness in the midst of unfair situations and how hope doesn't dismiss the hard things in life.

Right now I can admit I want a "genie in a bottle" kind of God that will do what I ask. But that isn't how God works. God's faithfulness doesn't mean we get what we want, it means He will walk with you through any situation and His mercy never stops showing up. It's easy to look at all that's wrong with this situation....and trust me I do every day. But in choosing to see God's faithfulness - I see how He has surrounded us with friends and family to walk with us and how, in a weird way, there is peace not fear in the chaos.

On a good note, Steve has been feeling good these past 3 days. Eating his favorite bacon, egg and cheese on an english muffin for breakfast. The day drains his energy but not his personality. He has always, and continues to make me laugh. We are grateful for each and every moment.

We are also grateful for each and every one of you that continue to pray, send texts (even if I don't answer) bring food, and have just been there for us. Your love is felt.

My hope, in you reading this, is that you can see and feel God in the imperfect moments of life and that you never doubt His faithfulness.

Much Love,

Rose
