Todo comenzó con un fuerte dolor de espalda. Después de varios estudios, incluyendo una tomografía y una resonancia magnética, María Eleticia fue diagnosticada con linfoma no Hodgkin, un tipo de cáncer que está afectando su columna vertebral.
Desde entonces comenzó un difícil proceso de quimioterapia. A pesar de todo, María ha seguido luchando con mucha fortaleza. Sin embargo, durante este proceso su condición se ha complicado gravemente y su columna se ha fracturado.
Actualmente, María sufre fuertes dolores de espalda y necesita una operación lo antes posible. La cirugía sigue pendiente porque su familia no cuenta con los recursos económicos necesarios para poder pagarla.
Debido a la condición de su columna, María tiene que utilizar constantemente un aparato ortopédico que mantiene su columna inmovilizada y protegida. Sin este soporte, existe el riesgo de que su condición empeore gravemente y pueda llegar a necesitar una silla de ruedas.
María vive en Tegucigalpa, Honduras, donde no cuenta con seguro médico que cubra estos gastos. Su familia ha hecho todo lo posible para continuar pagando sus tratamientos y necesidades médicas, pero los recursos se han agotado. El cáncer, las quimioterapias, los medicamentos, los estudios y ahora la cirugía de columna han hecho que los gastos sean imposibles de cubrir sin ayuda.
Por eso estamos pidiendo su apoyo. Nuestra meta de $20,000 es para ayudar a María a reunir los fondos necesarios para su cirugía y continuar cubriendo los gastos relacionados con su tratamiento contra el cáncer y su recuperación.

It all began with severe back pain. After undergoing several tests, including a CT scan and MRI, María Eleticia was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a type of cancer that is affecting her spine.
María then began the difficult process of chemotherapy. Despite everything she has faced, she has continued fighting with tremendous strength. Unfortunately, her condition has become much more serious, and her spine has fractured.
María is currently experiencing severe back pain and needs spinal surgery as soon as possible. The surgery is still pending because her family simply does not have the financial resources necessary to pay for it.
Because of the condition of her spine, María must constantly wear a spinal brace that helps keep her back immobilized and protected. Without this support, there is a risk that her condition could become significantly worse and that she could eventually require a wheelchair.
María lives in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, where she does not have medical insurance to cover these expenses. Her family has done everything possible to continue paying for her care, but their financial resources have been exhausted. Between cancer treatment, chemotherapy, medications, medical testing, and now the spinal surgery she urgently needs, the costs have become impossible for the family to manage alone.
That is why we are asking for your help. Our $20,000 goal will help María raise the money needed for her surgery and help cover expenses related to her continued cancer treatment and recovery.
