INeedARoof

My mom lives in an Indian home. My dad passed away 4 years ago and Cherokee Nation cut off her insurance without telling her. She only found out when she went to file a claim for a new roof. She paid for this insurance for 3 years and was not covered. They also will not refund her money. She can't get insurance on the house because the roof is bad and other issues that need to be addressed.  Mom is on limited income. She is 81 years old and not in great health. Any help would be a blessing. She will not ask for help because she doesn't want to put anyone out. I can't afford to fix it for her or I  would. She is not Indian so Cherokee nation won't help her. There should be a program through CN that helps the widows of the Cherokee men.. If anyone knows of any programs that help the elderly,  that information would also be appreciated.  God bless
