Fundraiser for Joey Beavers & Family
Our family is asking for support for 31-year-old Joey Beavers, a devoted husband and proud father of two amazing young boys, who is now fighting through one of the most challenging moments of his life.
Recently, Joey was diagnosed with a cholesteatoma tumor growing inside his ear—an aggressive condition that silently ate through the bone in his skull. Before anyone knew what was happening, the infection reached his brain and spinal fluid, leading to a sudden and life-threatening case of bacterial meningitis.
Joey was rushed into the hospital, where he was placed in a medical coma for five days as doctors worked to save his life. Although he is awake now and fighting hard every day, he faces a very long road to recovery. Joey currently cannot walk on his own, suffers from semi-severe memory loss—often saying “I feel like I woke up in 2012”—and still needs two more major head surgeries.
Before this medical emergency, Joey worked full-time at FedEx while his wife stayed home to care for their children. Now, with Joey hospitalized and recovering and his wife by his side, neither of them is able to work. This sudden loss of income, combined with medical travel and constant care needs, has put enormous strain on the family.
This fundraiser is to help Joey, his wife, and their boys with:
• Cost of living while Joey recovers
• Travel expenses for upcoming surgeries
• Household support while neither parent can work
• Stability for their children during this difficult time
