My friend and I were on a float trip and sleeping soundly at The Landing hotel in Van Buren, MO  on Wednesday 09/15/21 when my friend woke up at 1am to the smell of something burning. His quick reaction saved us and several others from being killed as the hotel burned to the ground along with all of our belongings. We did not have enough time to grab our things and unfortunately I lost a lot of important documents in the contents of my purse such as; my driver's license, social security card, debit card, credit card, passport card, and proof of insurance. I lost my clothing, glasses, contacts, shoes, cash, and cellphone as well. I need to work towards replacing these items quickly as the investigation of the fire may take up to six months before my friend and I are compensated for our losses. I am in between jobs and replacing my phone, glasses, documents is extremely important in getting and starting my new job. Any help that you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
