Hi, I’m chelsea & I’m trying to raise 3,500 for living expenses while I’m out on maternity leave. Any little bit helps!
Being  single parent is hard. Especially when you “make too much” to get help from the state but you still don’t make enough to pay your bills. & even more so when you didn’t plan on being a single parent but things don’t work out.
Before I got pregnant, I relied on my overtime to make sure my bills were paid. But since this pregnancy has been so straining & stressful, I haven’t been able to get the extra hours I rely on to make sure I can afford our monthly expenses. Not only that, but overtime has not been offered in quite some time now.
I’ve been falling behind & I can’t seem to catch up. Not being able to pay my rent on time, the late fees just keep adding up to where it’s hard for me to keep a roof over mine & my 6 year old son’s head. Now with his brother due in June & knowing I won’t be getting my full amount of pay while I’m out on leave & already struggling just to make sure we have what we need, I’m really starting to stress.
I hate asking for help. & it’s not a good feeling knowing I have not one but soon 2 little boys who rely on me & me alone to make sure they’re taken care of. It makes me feel a way I don’t want to feel. It’s scary. I wish I could do more for my boys but unfortunately, there isn’t much I can do about any of it right now.

I haven’t been able to save up to buy anything I will need for baby Charlie & as time goes on, I start to worry more & more. I won’t be able to keep the lights on or our apartment with the income I’ll be getting through disability while I’m out of work which will be less than 1/3 of my take home right now as I’m working 40 hours a week & we don’t have anyone that can help us.
So as much as I don’t want to do this, it’s something I know I’m going to have to do & ask people for help so we don’t lose what I’ve worked so hard to get us. People who know me know I’ve come a long way in life & feeling like I might lose it all right now is very discouraging & it’s hard to stay positive & not lose hope.
If anyone is able/willing to make donations towards our little family, I would be so grateful & my boys would appreciate it too. I can’t afford to start over yet again, especially with two children. I’ve been praying for answers & asking god for strength but it hasn’t been enough.
For the 2nd year in a row, I owe taxes because my withholdings were never changed when I moved from Michigan to Wisconsin & I was really depending on those so knowing I won’t be getting anything back again has me panicking & feeling really guilty even though I know I’m trying to do the right thing & do what’s best for me & my boys.

If anyone can help with anything at all we would appreciate it more than anyone could ever know! I wish I could have enjoyed this pregnancy but it didn’t work out that way. Now I just pray that I don’t need to stress for the rest of it or when it’s time to finally take Charlie home.

Thank you in advance & God bless!
