She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Averett University (2020) and a Master of Science in Biology from Liberty University, where she focused mainly on public health and US policy (2022). With her accolades, she has become the Population Health Community Health Coordinator for the Crater Health District of the Virginia Department of Health and has also worked alongside Virginia Commonwealth University’s Massey Cancer Center in conducting research experiments and clinical trials that provided state-of-the-art genetic and biomedical cancer treatment to those with the disease.
Her life’s and career’s work has been dedicated to finding the cures for some of the world’s toughest diseases such as cancer, diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and autoimmune disorders. Throughout obtaining her Doctorate, Aariyana has been able to give back to her community by mentoring young STEM professionals, public speaking, advocating for women and people of color in medicine, and bridging the gap between underrepresented populations and primary healthcare. She is a member of several honor societies, public health groups, and coalitions centered around progress and community engagement.
