This year has been a journey of both loss and love for me. Our beloved Nooni, a senior dog we rescued at nine years old, recently passed away. Nooni’s presence in our lives was a beautiful reminder of how much joy and companionship senior dogs can bring. Losing her left an empty spot in my heart, but it also deepened my commitment to helping other senior dogs find their forever homes.
Living in McLean, Virginia, I am continuously inspired by the sense of community and care. As part of my mitzvah project, I am raising $3,500 to support senior dog rescue efforts. Each dollar is a step toward giving other dogs the same chance Nooni had—a chance to experience love and comfort in their golden years. Through this fundraiser, I hope to honor Nooni’s memory and continue her legacy of bringing warmth and joy to others.
