Hi, my name is Jasmine Mai!
I’m reaching out to ask for support as I work to build the life of my dreams! I recently landed a great job with Hustle 2.0, a program that empowers incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people to transform their lives—and now, I’m working hard to do exactly that.
I've maintained my sobriety for 7 months, and I've been saving up as much money as possible since I was released from jail on April 3rd, 2025. Despite my progress, I’m currently homeless.
It's expensive to book rooms at hotels & Airbnbs, and I'd rather save my money to put towards getting my own place, so I've been sleeping in my car.
I reached out to The Denver Dream Center, and they helped me find a landlord willing to give me a second chance (a rare opportunity due to my criminal background), but I’m still short on the $1,000 I need for move-in costs since I just started my new job. This is my biggest hurdle right now. Without a stable and safe place to live, it’s nearly impossible to keep up my momentum and reach my goals.
I also have my sweet bb Twix, who is my ESA, and who has been with me through some of my darkest times. My mom is taking care of him right now, but I'm working hard and keeping faith that I'll be able to have him back soon! I want to give Twix—and myself—a safe place to call home.
Having a home would allow me to:
• Maintain and grow in my new role with Hustle 2.0
• Remain in compliance with ny probation requirements
• Maintain my sobriety and establish a safe place to rest my head at the end of each day
• Resume my studies at Arapahoe Community College and Southern Utah University thereafter (AA in Business & Journalism, 4.0 GPA; Student Government Association; National Society of Leadership and Success)
• Launch my nonprofit to support justice-impacted people
• Finally feel safe, stable, and grounded
