My mom and I took in Kaya last year when her owner asked me to train her for a 60 day period. After two weeks of training the owner randomly messaged me saying she was moving abroad and is refusing to take her back and pretty much abandoned her to my care. My mom decided to keep her and since Kaya has bonded to her and they are inseparable.
We just went out of town for a funeral and on the way home, Kaya found her way into the chest and ate the entirety of the Bread Loaf and Plastic. We have been keeping an eye on her and we hoped she would pass it through. But the second potty putting she could barely move, was shaking as trying to go potty and was drooling excessively. As she kept attempting walk away from us to attempt potty my mom and I just had our hearts drop at how she looked. I waited with her outside for 30 minutes as she tried to potty because she was getting some bowel movement. But as she slowly walked back to the car with my help she just laid down and wouldn’t get up. I picked her up and we laid her in the car and now we are trying to get home as fast as possible.
My mother is single income parent, as I am myself . I with a child and her with an infant as well. So we don’t have the funds right now to come up with an emergency visit let alone surgery to help Kaya.
She truly is a fighter and through all the issues she’s been given she has fought through it all and I am so truly grateful to our lord for giving her that fighting spirit,
We make our ends meet and we don’t ask for hand outs or help but at this moment we are at a brick wall. We do not want to tell the kids that Kaya isn’t going to make it, let alone watch our dog go through sufferable pain .
So I’m asking for both myself but my mother, if anyone can please help us get Kaya the care she needs.
We are about 2.5 hours away from town and again speeding as much as we can to get her there. But any and all help is appreciated and we will adjust and input the cost in here once we have it. So please don’t feel obligated to do anything until I put the vets bill in.
Thank you all, and God bless you on this beautiful Sunday.
