We had lived in the same apartment renting the last 22 or so years, our landlord has really been a blessing, he is just getting up there in years and has had to sell his places, we had a little nest egg that we had been saving since COVID-19 stimulus checks and of course income taxes, and thank goodness because he evicted us after offering us first chance to buy, we told him we didn't have that much so he knocked off another 20 for his second offer, we kindly explained that we'd already bought it at least once in the 22 or so years renting, not to mention the major amount of work that would still be needed, we only had so much money and honestly had enough of living in the small 5 room apartment so we kindly declined again and asked for 30 extra days (rent paid) to find something else, we found a nice little single family home but only had half what it would take to get it, here comes blessing #2 in the form of my dear Daddio, I love you Dad and still can't thank you enough, so we closed on our first home on July 25, 2023, it couldn't been a better fit, from the price to the house number everything screamed we're meant to be there, we are still in the process of moving 22 years or so worth of madness and memories by the end of this month but we've had some financial roadblocks, after getting utilities and insurance going we're about to feel like real life homeowners (real broke), so here's where spotfund and 3rd blessing come into play, we have foundation issues that's needing to be addressed, the front of the house is starting to sway outward thanks (not really) to a floor joist and girder that have fell in and started to deteriorate from the moisture of the soil beneath the house, then there's the biggy, our homeowners insurance is not going to cover us until we get this big ol tree (because it's leaning over the house) cut completely down and the other one trimmed that's over my shed, yeah I got a shed too, I knew taking this house was going to take love, attention, and of course more money, but it really was the lesser of the 2 "evils" which as I stated before I see this place along with my father, landlord, and every single person that helps our family making this house a home a blessing from God, every single day is a blessing from God, you're doing His work by helping families in need and helping spread the gospel, for it is through Him and Him giving his only begotten Son that makes anything and everything possible!!! Thank you, bless you, and glory be to our Father, His Son and Thee Holy Spirit πππ
