My mom is a 32 year transplant survivor. About a month ago she started getting sick and was not properly diagnosed when she went to see her doctor . Turns out this simple uti that could have been treated is turning into a nightmare . She went to the er last week and just properly diagnosed on Monday . She is allergic to many antibiotics so of course we have to have meds compounded for her . Around $1500 per day for meds. Her out of pocket on this round is around $1000. She spends a small fortune on insurance to avoid things like this .  She lost her job due to ownership change in November, I also moved my buisness at that time so money is tight all around .
