I am very blessed to still have my 76 year old adopted grandmother. She means the world to me. I became disabled back in 2017, while being a homeschool mother of three beautiful girls. Unfortunately, I do not qualify for disability bc I homeschooled for 17 years and became disabled during that time. This has been very unfair and hard to help my husband with bills, etc. I am unable to maintain a full time job due to my disabilities. My grandmother is unable to walk at times and needs a knee replacement as well, but has been very blessed throughout her life. I would love nothing more than to take her to see the beach and walk in the sand. She has never been. However, I do not have the funds to pay for a simply 3 day trip to Destin. I have booked our stay on a credit card in hopes I can somehow get funds for our trip. The 1000 is 300 short of our actual total cost just for our stay. It is a surprise for her and I still have to get us there for gas and food. I was diagnosed with Anklyosing spondylitis, degenerative disc disease, fibromyalgia, spinal stenosis of the lower lumbar and neck as well as osteoarthritis. So working Part time has been very demanding on me physically. I try to still work a few hours a week but it is nothing near helping my husband with bills and absolutely no where near paying for the one trip she has always wanted to go on. I pray that this will happen and I will be able to fund this trip for her. I have until August the 23rd to cancel and I’m so hoping we don’t have to do that. This may be my only chance to take her. The Bible says life is like a vapor here one second and gone the next. I know God as my savior and my grandmother does too so that gives me peace in knowing when the time comes for God to call her home, I will see her again. I pray he will allow me somehow to be able to take her to see the beach.. this is something I have wanted to do for many years and the years are passing by so fast and I’m at the point to where I can drive her now. I spent 6 years homeschooling from my bed because Ankylosing spondylitis alone takes so much out of me. The pain alone from that is unbearably at times and the fatigue is unexplainable. I do
Hold on fast to my Heavenly Fathers hand and I know even though she is getting older, he has blessed me beyond measure; if we do get to go or if we don’t. I couldn’t be more thankful for all the many blessings he has given me. Thank you so much for simply reading this..
If you are unable to donate, please pass this along.
