Sacramento!
I’m Chris Saizan, and I’m honored to be leading the #RaiseForSac Campaign for Family Meal! Family Meal is a chef-driven initiative that is led by some of Sacramento’s best restaurants (Allora, Binchoyaki, Camden Spit & Larder, Canon, and Mulvayney’s B&L).
During this pandemic they are using their restaurants as micro-commissaries to create meals for people in need. Every $20 raised through their campaign pays for one “Meal Kit,” which contains four meals. Their goals are to feed vulnerable people and families, support small business and keep people employed, and financially support farmers and purveyors. They began delivering meals on March 31st, and they have already delivered over 25,000 meals to people in need!
The amount of meals they have delivered in such a short amount of time shows how much help the Family Meal initiative can offer the Sacramento community! With our help they can scale the project to employ more service staff, add more restaurants, and provide more meals to those in need. Please contribute and help this incredible initiative provide even more help to our community!
