Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,
I’m reaching out with a humble and hopeful heart as I approach one of the most important moments of my life, graduating from college.
For the past four years, my mom has done everything she possibly could to support me through my journey at Langston University. She has sacrificed, taken on over $47,000 in loans, and carried so much just to make sure I had the opportunity to pursue my education. Because of her, I’ve made it this far, and I will forever be grateful.
Now, as I stand at the finish line in my senior year, I’m faced with a final hurdle that I must overcome. We have reached a point where my mom has exhausted every resource available, and I now need to do my part to make this last step happen.
There is an immediate need of $4,000 but the total amount needed is over $7,000. Without this being paid, I will not be able to walk across the stage and celebrate the accomplishment I’ve worked so hard for.
During my time at Langston, I’ve pushed myself to grow both academically and as a leader. I’ve participated in multiple internship programs, served as a mentor through the "Role Modelz" program for incoming freshmen, and was a former general body member of the Student Government Association. These experiences have shaped me into the person I am today, and I am so close to completing this chapter.
I’m asking for your support—whether that’s through a donation or simply sharing my story. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to crossing that stage.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and for any support you’re able to give. It truly means more than I can express.
With gratitude,
Kaylin
