I’m Sarah Beth Howard, and I’m on a mission to make a difference! As an incoming graduate student at UNCW pursuing a master’s degree in Marine and Coastal Policy, a dedicated natural disaster volunteer, and a passionate advocate for health and fitness, I know the power of community and giving back.
That’s why I’m raising funds for the AHA GO RED x Miss America collaboration—an initiative that combines the scholarship opportunities of Miss America and the North Carolina Education Scholarship Fund (NCESF) with the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement. This partnership is working to fund critical heart health research while also providing women with the financial support they need to achieve their educational goals.
Through my involvement with Miss America and NCESF, I have the opportunity to earn scholarships that will help me fund my graduate education. These funds will allow me to focus on my studies, research, and volunteer work in disaster preparedness and environmental policy—efforts that are crucial for coastal communities affected by extreme weather and climate change. By supporting this fundraiser, you’re not only helping to fight heart disease, the No. 1 killer of women, but also empowering women like me to pursue higher education and create real change.
Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. I would be so grateful for your support as we work toward a future where women are healthier, stronger, and better educated. Let’s make an impact together! ❤️
