These kids need a home to call their own.
Dad and Mom divorced about a year ago and 7 months ago dad started to rent a home with the intent to purchase in 6 months. This has been a process as he has never had the need to purchase anything on credit, so he has never established credit. Now the landlord is in a hurry to sell, and dad is unable to purchase due to never establishing credit.
Dad has done a great job of picking himself up and moving forward. Mom has been living with whomever she is able and jumping from couch to couch while the children are shoved from family to family. Derrek would LOVE for his kids to come live with him and have a stable and loving home instead of just every other weekend visits. But he himself is facing homelessness yes, he has paid rent for the last 7 months and NEVER missed or been late ONCE.
