As of May 2025, the Newton-Jasper County, IL Museum is moving to a new space at 200 E Washington Street, Suite A in Newton.
We are excited to announce that this fall we received our 501c3 status! We're looking forward to the different opportunities this will open for us as we settle into our new home!
We have been fortunate to have no operating expenses up to this time, as the Newton Public Library District has generously provided a room for exhibits. We have simply outgrown the space and are moving!
With that move, come expenses -- from preparation and upkeep of the space, to monthly bills and daily needs. We want the Museum to become a favorite attraction for visitors and a beloved destination for our friends and neighbors, but we can't do that without help from the community.
