I rescued this sweet staffordshire on Friday September 27th. She traveled over 12 hours to get home to me. She is a mostly healthy very happy vibrant dog that you just can’t help instantly love them.
Ive noticed her having a lot of problems sitting, climbing, and getting up after a long nap. I took her to the vet on October 2nd to have an exam and get shots. She was healthy besides a major problem. She has a likely torn meniscus in both back legs.
The cost of the surgery for each leg is $4000. I wish I could fix this instantly for this sweet girl. She deserves a rich life free of pain. Unfortunately I’m too destitute to afford more than $250 per month. I’m disabled and unable to work, and my ssi barely covers my bills. I hope to be able to return to the workforce after my medical issues are solved. So I am only asking for the one leg. For the foreseeable future I am stuck with my disability check.
The people of Reddit really came together and shared the love when it came to getting Skye up to me. I’m hoping they will come together again and help me give this beautiful, sweet, sassy girl the life she’s never had and really deserves.
