This fundraiser goes directly to the sanctuary owner and will be used solely for recovery efforts and ongoing animal care.
My name is Heather, and I am raising funds for a dear friend who owns and operates a private animal sanctuary and rescue in Georgetown, Tennessee.
On January 15th, 2026, her sanctuary suffered a devastating barn fire. Tragically, 27 animals lost their lives and could not be saved. Twelve dogs and three horses who were inside the barn at the time did survive, and we are incredibly grateful for that miracle.
The fire destroyed everything inside the barn — including animal food, tools, wheelbarrows, a mower, a manure spreader, and countless other essential equipment. There was also a cottage attached to the barn with furnishings, an office, and a laundry room in the barn. All of those items are gone as well. The total loss amounts to thousands of dollars, and many of these items are needed immediately to continue caring for the animals that survived. While insurance claims, fire investigations, and official processes are still ongoing, these things take time — and the animals’ needs cannot wait.
This sanctuary exists for animals who have been turned away by society due to behavioral challenges or medical conditions. These animals come here to live out their lives safe, cared for, and deeply loved. In addition to the animals affected by the fire, there are still horses, dogs, a few feral cats, and pigs currently at the sanctuary who need daily care, food, and support.
Sadly, some of those sweet souls were among the animals lost in the fire. We are also hoping to create a memorial bench and memorial stone to honor the animals who passed and to ensure they are never forgotten.
There are still animals missing following the fire, and efforts are ongoing to locate them and bring them to safety.
Any help — whether through donations, sharing, or support — is deeply appreciated. What was once a beautiful barn is now gone, but the focus remains on healing, rebuilding, and caring for the animals who survived.
We must get the funds to create a new area on the property for the horses that were in the barn. We also need a dog run for the dogs to be able to get out since they used to get out and run in the barn aisle. All donations will go towards those areas to rebuild for the animals.

Rudolph is one of the survivors from the fire. He was able to get out safely. He is starting to shut down in a kennel environment now, he preferred the barn with the large stall and being able to run and play. He's available for adoption if anyone is able to provide him a good home. He's 2 years old, neutered, and vaccinated. He gets along with dogs of all sizes, cats, and kids. He's a Lab mix.
