In 2017, God's Love We Deliver will cook and hand-deliver nutritious meals to more than 1.6 million New Yorkers in need or living with severe illness.
On March 9, some of my favorite artists will gather to spread the love. God's Love We Deliver will host a benefit concert at the Beacon Theater in NYC. Gary Clark Jr., Michael McDonald, Cyndi Lauper and Jackson Browne will be performing.
Founded in 1985 when one woman began delivering food on her bicycle to a man dying from AIDS, God's Love now cooks 6,200 meals each weekday. Because the combination of hunger and serious illness is a crisis, we deliver food within 24 – 48 hours of first being contacted.
