My name is Becca. I an adult-gero nurse practitioner who has been out of work since December 2024 following an ankle sugery. I am also a type one diabetic and a left below the knee amputee. I currently have no health insurance and am required to pay Cobra which is ridiculously expensive. I also cant return to work until i have a new leg that fits my limb better as my current socket is too big making walking painful and difficult as well as having stamina to carry out day-to-day activities. I also am due for insulin pump and CGM supplies which are ridiculously expensive as well as the prosthetic. I hope to return to work caring for aging adults once i have a new leg.
