Mrs. Carol Kelly has lived alone for many years now since her husband past away quite a few years ago. She lives out in the woods with her dog where neighbors are scarce and the wolves are many. I found Carol through a friend cause she needed a new roof but the estimates she got were nowhere in her budget range. My friend and I talked and decided we would install the roof for her that wouldn't go over the the amount she currently had set aside. When we started all we knew was that there was enough money for the material and a very good chance that neither of us were going to make money. She needed help and we did what good men should do; we stayed and helped.
If I wasn't around and my wife was in that situation I sure hope someone would do the same for her. Life is so much bigger than money; so isn't friendship! Carol and I have become good friends, I swing by her place every week or two and check up on her. I'll fix her car , cut and/or stack her firewood, what ever I can do to lighten her load some. But I only have so much time to give as I'm a general contractor with a wife and the kids so that in itself keeps me very busy. Carol dissent have anyone who can help her and she is on a very tight limited income. Her boiler went out a very long time ago and she uses a wood stove to heat her home. She chops her own firewood stacks it and keeps her home warm that way. It's the only way. But what if she catches the floor or gets so sick her bones hurt and she needs to stay in bed. Well, she tries to get the wood inside, sometimes she is successful, but she will never forget all the times she couldn't do it and laid in bed freezing while she was sick cuddling up with her dog to stay warm. She is an awesome person and deserves better than that. Help me get her a furnace for her home. If I can get people to help pay for the furnace I can install it and have friends who can help me to install it but my wife and I had a bad year ourselves with medical bills and we can not fund this project, but I can see it through and take care of the labor cost. This is why I'm asking to be funded for a furnace, $5000.00 should be sufficient for a good used furnace, maybe even a new one I'm not sure. Or if someone had a furnace to donate that to would be a blessing. Thank you, God be with you!
