I'm reaching out for help for my daughter, Alexa. Here's her story so far...... Alexa has been suffering with bulging, slipped disks in her back for over a year now. She is always in pain, but the Dr's just tell her that they can't find any reason for her to have such debilitating pain. Alexa is tough and very independent! She would never ask for this hep, but I'm learning to ask for help as we struggle to find answers.
Currently, her newest symptom is her leg turning purple and being painful. She's been in the hospital for over 2 weeks, the bills are mounting and there are still no answers. She was helicoptered to The University Hospital in Knoxville, TN when they couldn't find a heart beat in her leg. They've done test after test and can't tell her why her body is doing this.
I drove out to TN to be with her and hopefully help. As most people know, I'm still struggling, and healing from the sudden death of my beautiful Todd (forever 35). My journey continues to be a challenge and yet it's a blessing to be here in Tennessee, finally helping my girl and healing our pain together.
I'm hoping to raise just a bit extra to allow me to stay with her as she's basically bedridden. I was with her this morning when several Drs came in to tell her she wasn't approved for a pain block procedure, they can't do any more for her and she'll be discharged in a couple of days. Prescription: more physical therapy. Ugh, she can't walk, drive, go to the restroom without assistance, etc, and they're just sending her home.
I was hoping to find Dr Gregory House! He would figure it out😆. We have our work cut out for us and I'll be bugging Drs and looking for answers in the coming days.
To anyone who can even pitch in 5 bucks, thank you in advance. I'll continue to post Alexa's progress and I'm praying for a Miracle! They happen everyday! Please pray with me🙏🏾
