2/6/24 update:

Kitty stopped eating and moving as much, I got worried when respiratory rate was increasing as well so back to the vet we went. Kitty either has a blood borne bacterial infection or she is bleeding internally. Miracle’s red blood cell levels were at critical levels yesterday, so the vet said the one last Hail Mary we could do is antibiotics to hopefully target the infection if that is what this is, and if not, keep her comfortable and let her know she is loved. Yesterday’s visit was another 600 dollars, so if you or anyone you know is able to help, it would mean the world to us. Thank you so much

2/1/24 Update::

Kitty gets to come to her new home today! She is aptly going to be named “Mira” short for Miracle because that’s exactly what she is. The ending vet balance after all current donations are put towards it is right around $2000.00.  If anyone is wanting to donate any further, please let me know:) thank you to all of you beautiful souls who have donated so far, you’re so appreciated!

1/29/24 UPDATE: Full amputation of kitty’s left hind leg was successful. I spoke with the vet after surgery who said it’s very obvious she has had a rough first part of her life. Kitty is extremely anemic, malnourished, dehydrated and she was completely covered head to toe in fleas, but this strong kitty has persevered and made it through surgery! Kitty is going to be monitored and continued to be given fluids, supplemental nutrition, and antibiotics for a couple more days at the vet clinic and then hopefully we will be able to bring her to her new, safe home. Thank you to everyone who has continued to help in any way they can, it is more appreciated than you know! For anyone who would like to make a donation directly to the vet hospital to help cover the cost of nursing this sweet cat back to health, Kitty Goral is at Bay Pines Veterinary Clinic, phone number 231-347-4552. Thank you thank you!!

**Update Saturday night: Kitty’s distal part of left hind limb was partially amputated this evening by the doctor as it was just hanging on by a tendon, the rest of said leg will be amputated up to her hip on Monday when the vet has more staff. Kitty is receiving antibiotics, fluids, and resting tonight and the vet will call and update me in the morning. Thank you to everyone who has shared, prayed, and contributed financially to help me make sure this kitty has a fighting chance. Every little bit is a blessing for this unexpected (but worthy) expense.

Initial post: Ok, big ask. I have a cat that has been living under my porch for the past 2 days. I have never seen it during the day, but caught slight glimpses of it at night so we knew it was there. I have been leaving tuna out for it every day, and making sure it stays as warm as possible under the porch. Today was the first day I’ve seen it, and it is really hurt:(. Like left hind leg is mangled with exposed bone. I have a live trap, and I want to see if it can be saved and given a life to live out where it doesn’t have to be scared anymore. That being said, if anyone has a few extra dollars to throw into a save the cat fund, I’m looking at A Lot in emergency vet fees with a probable leg amputation as well as antibiotics to ward off infection. I know times are strained for everyone, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask because my heart won’t let me at least not try to save this kitty. If your able to just share the post to any groups or pages with people that make be able to help, it would mean to world to me. Thank you!🧡❤️🐱❤️🧡
