My name is Ryley and my companion, my co-pilot, my little shadow, and my Service Dog is Harlow. Help me pay medical expenses and rehabilitation costs for my Service Dog!

————————————

Last year in September, the poor fellow started limping one morning and was rushed to the vet. He had an xray from his hips down to his toes done and the veterinarian could only offer that it might be a sprain and to make sure that he got plenty of crate rest and prescribed him some medication to keep him comfortable. Things were only heating up from there, unfortunately.

In a matter of days, his leg swelled up twice in size, so back to the vet we went and returned with more pills— one antibiotic and one steroid.

After this, the swelling went down almost immediately and it seemed that the future was looking brighter, as he started walking by himself to grab a drink.

Alas, this didn't last. From then on, we've had test after test, including one where he had been left sedated and wasn't breathing for who knows how long.

We had a joint tap and sampled some of the ankle fluid where staph was found. He was put on a very strong antibiotic subsequently... For more than a month. Because of this, he also needed a stomach coating pill. He also was switched to a different pain medication.

————————————

In all, our little family has been frantically searching for answers since this all started. We've had discussions with our vet about amputation and even euthanasia, and we'd rather do neither. We can only hope that the Orthopedic will be able to fix it.

However, here lies the problem: I've burned up all of my savings on vet bills, medications, procedures, and tests. As you might've noted, Harlow is a service dog... Or was, until he couldn't walk. I will absolutely tell you, being without my helper has been not only terrifying, because I could have a medical emergency and I would neither have a warning nor would I be able to alert the public on the protocol that would best help me.

Now I need YOUR help. Please consider donating, and if you cannot, sharing works!

Thank you for your time, we're grateful grateful . 🥺💕
